Construction Management of Florida, Inc. (CMF) has worked as a construction contractor to the City of Melbourne recently for demolition of a single-family property related to gravity sewer main replacement utility project. The scope of work consisted of contractor coordination with existing utility owners for removal of existing services prior to performing demolition activities, contractor application for building permits, demolition of an existing home, detached garage, and concrete pavement.
CMF displayed competency, attention to detail, was very responsive, and maintained a very cooperative/team-oriented attitude throughout the project. The Grants Administration Division is currently working to rehabilitate forty (40) homes belonging to our lower income citizens through the State Housing Initiatives Partnership (SHIP) program. To that end, we regularly collaborate with Joe Harmon, Ill and the office staff at Construction Management of Florida, Inc.
I have experienced first-hand the professionalism, industry knowledge, and commitment to excellence Construction Management of Florida exhibits during mandatory site visits, contractor consultations and actual home rehabilitations. MANAGEMENT: Performance meets contractual requirements and exceeds some to the Government's benefit. Specifically, the Contractor submitted a request for information with the recommendation to demolish additional obsolete AHU equipment found upon the completion of the contracted required demolition in the mechanical area within the Vehicle Assembly Building. This recommendation was a cost saving for the Government since the area was clear of equipment to quickly perform the demolition. The work was performed without affecting the overall schedule of the contract.

RECOMMENDATION: Given what I know today about the contractor's ability to perform in accordance with this contract or order's most significant requirements, I would recommend them for similar requirements in the future.
